La revue Études Théologiques et Religieuses est une publication trimestrielle de l'Institut Protestant de Théologie (Facultés de théologie protestante de Montpellier et Paris). Fondée en 1926, soutenue depuis 1984 par le Centre National du Livre, elle s'est organisée en association "Loi 1901" en 1997. Tirée à 1800 exemplaires, elle est actuellement la plus lue et la plus diffusée des revues francophones de théologie protestante, tant en France qu'à l'étranger (un tiers des abonnés environ).

Chacune des quatre livraisons de l'année (160 pages) contient :

des articles de fond sur tous les domaines de la théologie (exégèse biblique, histoire religieuse, théologie dogmatique, éthique, théologie pratique, sciences des religions, etc.),

de brèves contributions sur ces matières, sous forme de notes et chroniques,

des comptes rendus d'ouvrages théologiques français et étrangers récents.


Le lectorat d'ETR est composé de théologiens, de pasteurs et de prêtres, mais aussi d'un public plus large qui s'intéresse aux sciences humaines en tant qu'elles touchent aux questions religieuses.

ÉTUDES THÉOLOGIQUES ET RELIGIEUSES is a journal intended for theologians, pastors, priests, students and others wishing to keep informed about theological research in France and elsewhere.

ÉTUDES THÉOLOGIQUES ET RELIGIEUSES is circulated to subscribers and libraries in Europe, America, Africa, Madagascar and Asia.

In each of the four issues in the year (160 pages), you will find :
articles covering all areas of theology (science of religions, Bible, religious history, dogmatic theology, ethics, pastoral theology);
short contributions on these subjects, in the form of notes;
reviews of recent French and foreign theological books.
ÉTUDES THÉOLOGIQUES ET RELIGIEUSES is the journal of the Institut Protestant de Théologie which publishes 4 issues per year of 160 pages each, of which approximately 100 pages are articles and 60 are book reviews. Founded in 1926 and supported since 1984 by the Centre National du Livre, it became a statutorily independent organism in 1997. At present it is the most widely read French language theological journal with the largest circulation in France as well as outside of France (about one third of the subscribers).

The readership of ETR is made up of pastors, theologians and many other people who are interested in theology as well in the social sciences and humanities (exegesis, history, philosophy, sociology, psychoanalysis etc.) insofar as these are concerned with religious questions.

With this in mind, the articles in the ETR, its "notes et chroniques" and its book reviews ("parmi les livres") seek to make the results of primary research accessible in French and to encourage the distribution of fundamental contributions in other contexts than that of French protestantism.
